Tickle Friendship

Tickle Friendship examines how physical connection shapes experiences of intimacy, comfort, and belonging.

The project consists of a series of knitted wearable forms connected through networks of beads and soft structures. These connections move across and between bodies, creating pathways that suggest emotional relationships made visible through material form.

Areas of exposed skin contrast with soft knitted surfaces, emphasizing the dual desire for vulnerability and protection. The detachable structures can be worn individually or shared between multiple people, allowing the work to shift between personal experience and collective interaction.

Through touch, tension, and proximity, the garments become tools for exploring the boundaries between self and others. The work considers how intimacy can exist not only through direct contact, but also through subtle forms of presence, attachment, and care.
