Body Echo
Body Echo emerged from my experience of severe insomnia and heightened bodily awareness.
During long periods without sleep, I became increasingly sensitive to internal sensations such as heartbeat, blood flow, and breathing. Sounds that normally remain unnoticed grew impossible to ignore, transforming my relationship with my own body.
The wearable objects translate these invisible experiences into physical forms. Transparent structures containing moving elements create subtle sounds and vibrations that echo the body's internal rhythms. Positioned around the ears, chest, and face, the pieces extend these sensations into the surrounding space.
Through Body Echo, I explore how perception shapes our experience of the body, and how internal sensations can blur the boundary between physical reality and subjective experience.
